Venkatesh Mannar, President of the Micronutrient Initiative (MI), was invested as an Officer of the Order of Canada in recognition of his leadership in the global fight against malnutrition and micronutrient deficiency. In recognition of World Health Day, the Micronutrient Initiative (MI) visited Mr. Kealey´s grade 5/6 class at Holy Spirit Catholic School on Monday, April 8, 2013 to talk about the big impact of a little bit iodine. The hands-on workshop, put on by Chris Dendys and Aynsley Morris from MI´s External Relations team, let students take the role of field scientists checking salt for iodine. Read more... |

I write to share the news that after almost 20 years as President of the Micronutrient Initiative, Venkatesh Mannar will be transitioning out of this role at the end of this year and into an advisory role with MI.
